TOO SELFISH TO SHARE?

Are you too selfish to share?
Toddlers are often reluctant to share a toy or a few Cheerios. Teens may not be keen to let a friend borrow a fave dress or pair of shoes for a special occasion.
Why Aren't You Sharing?
But have you ever thought of this topic regarding your creative projects or work?
Have you been hiding your work? Feeling it's not perfect so it can't see the light of day yet? Maybe you believe it's not good enough. Or you feel a bit of a fraud?
But what if you flipped that ireluctance to share due to perceived inadequacy? Looked at it as simple selfishness. By not sharing your gifts in your workplace or world, you're actually being very selfish.
Because your work is needed in this world. Now more than ever. Especially work that promotes reaching out. listening, exploring, encouraging hope and connecting with others.
Those like us and those different from us. I was reminded of that when I came across an artsy magnet sporting two hands with the line: The things that make us different also make us more interesting.
Time is Now to Start Sharing Your Gifts
So, don't be selfish. Don't waste a minute. Time is now - to share what only you can do - where only you can do it.
What are three things you could do to share? Pick the one that beckons to you first.
Start or add to a blog.
Lead an artful activity with a child or children.
Start that novel you've been writing in your head for years.
Paint a room a bright, bold color and turn it into an craft room overflowing with goodies to create your masterpieces.
Volunteer to share your skills with a group that does incredible things in the world.
Now, pick the one that beckons to you first.
Then, start sharing today. Step out on a new path. You can always tweak, pivot or edit along the way
