Business Writing:
Craft compelling pieces so unique voices and messages stand out from the crowd.

Specialties: copywriting, brochures, newsletters, press releases, fundraising letters, features, proposals, and incentive/travel programs.

Clients: U.S. and Europe (some with English as a 2nd or 3rd language)

 

Education Writing:
Co-wrote one book, contributed to six books, and co-wrote lively children’s and family activities and curriculum.

Organic Puppet Theatre Programs:

  • Empowered/encouraged 20,000+ kids and adults to lead healthy, happy lives. kids celebrated bodies with puppets, songs, and active fun at OPT shows, workshops, health fairs, and camps in U.S., Canada, and Europe. Topics tackled: smoking, obesity, hunger, drugs, inactivity, bullying, and poor life choices.

 

  • Design, market, and train adult teachers and leaders to use OPT wellness activities at schools, institutions, workshops, and churches in U.S. and Canada.

 

  • Design, market, and present OPT activities to motivate and empower kids at schools, churches, Artist-in-Residence programs, health fairs, classes, camps, after-school programs, and workshops in U.S. and Europe.

 

  • Presented 1,000+ interactive OPT shows to inspire and empower 17,000 St. Paul kids at 10 years of annual Road to Wellness Health Fairs.

 

MISC. CREATIVE OFFERINGS

 

  • Energized hundreds of adults, kids, and families by leading variety of workshops, retreats, classes, and camps. Topics include: global awareness, natural wonders, peace, communication, etc. Thrive on creative collaborations.

 

PUBLISHING

 

Founded Night Owl Press to write and publish critically-acclaimed The Organic Puppet Theatre: Children’s Activities in Health Awareness by Terry Schultz and Linda Sorenson (Night Owl Press, Network Publications, and Homelight Press). Homelight retitled book: The Organic Puppet Theatre: Health Activities Book.

 

ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANCE

 

Assisted international speaker and author with materials preparation, writing, editing, research, client contacts, and speaking engagements through Lennartson Consulting.

 

MULTICULTURAL GLOBAL PROJECTS

 

 

  • Worked extensively with 1986 Peace Child International, first-ever U.S.-Russian musical theatre collaboration, in Mpls., Washington, DC, and NYC. Publicity Coordinator and activity leader for Mpls. tour stop. Experienced intercultural activities on 1988 Peace Child Family Tour with cast and band in Moscow, St. Petersburg, Kiev, and Tbilisi.

 

  • Speak on relishing world cultures and peacemaking for clients including: Montessori Education Project Intl., Camp Fire, Society of Intercultural Education, Training and Research (Amsterdam conf.), and Georgetown University AIESEC, Washington, DC.

 

  • Researched expatriate children’s issues and co-presented U.S. Third Culture Kids: A Model for Constructive Intervention at SIETAR Int'l. conference in Amsterdam.

  • B.S. in Communication Media, Core in Environmental Interpretation, Bemidji State University, Bemidji, MN

  • Senior year spring quarter study in Oxford and Vienna. Side trips to six countries, incl. Split, Croatia (photo below)

  • Pine Tree Apple Tennis Classic. Wrote funding-raising letters for Classic, largest, U.S. non-celebrity charity tournament in White Bear Lake, MN, to benefit Mpls. Children’s Hospital’s cancer research.

 

  • Mpls./St. Paul UNICEF Campaign for Child Survival  Promotion Committee Member. Co-wrote Campaign for Child Survival brochure.
